健康科学学院由六个学院组成:医学技术、护理、放射技术、康复(包括物理治疗或职业治疗专业)、临床工程、医疗管理和信息科学
该大学获得了约2.42亿日元(170万英镑)的科学研究资助
英文介绍
Fujita Health University, a private university in the city of Toyoake, in Aichi, Japan, has its roots in the Minami Aichi Auxiliary Nursing School, which opened in 1964. The university was created in 1968.
Today it belongs to Fujita Academy, which includes three educational hospitals, and three research laboratories. The university is divided into two schools: the School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences.
The School of Medicine trains health care professionals in clinical and research settings, offering a six-year course.
Medical facilities include the Lifelong Learning Center, created in 2007, and Japan’s first ever Skills Lab, where simulators are available for students to hone their skills. The da Vinci Training Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery, also a first in Japan, opened in 2012. The Radiology Centre was opened in 2014.
The medicine school uses a problem-based learning (PBL) style coined Fujita PBL, in which a group of six to seven students simulate a clinical setting and diagnose a patient, based on an actual case.
Another learning method sees students of six faculties of the School of Health Sciences and the Academy of Nursing studying together. In the Early clinical experience course, first-year students are given the opportunity to deal with real hospital patients.
The School of Health Sciences consists of six faculties: Medical Technology, Nursing, Radiological Technology, Rehabilitation (including physical therapy or occupational therapy majors), Clinical Engineering, and Medical Management and Information Science.
The university receives about 242 million yen (£1.7 million) of grant-in-aid for Scientific Research.
